Family holiday in Tyrol

In your Summer holiday a wealth of possibilities awaits you with children in the Pitztal: a visit to the High Ropes Course XP Adventure Park, swimming in the Pitz Park with natural bathing pond and diving towers, playful exploration of our adventure trail in the ZirbenPark, breathtaking views down into the Pitzenklamm gorge from the 94 m high Benni Raich Bridge, the Kaunergrat Nature Park House, the Stamserhaus Museum, the Zirben exhibition in Jerzens, the Boulderstadl in Stillebach or our fascinating waterfalls with viewing platforms. With the Pitztal Summer Card you have free access to the attractions and cable cars in Pitztal and the surrounding area.

Discover nature with children

An unforgettable highlight for young and old alike is also the visit to the traditional Alpine dairies. On some of our alpine pastures there are also small petting zoos for the children. Easy hikes for families are marked on the hiking maps. Guided family hikes take place twice a week as part of the free weekly programme (e.g. glacier days, sunrise trips to the Sechszeiger) take place.

Of course, children's playgrounds and a puzzle trail are not to be missed. Also interesting is a visit to the Pitztal Water Worlds Stillebach.

Hochzeiger Family Trail

Since June 2022, the first Mountain bike single trail in the Pitztal open. The easy trail winds for about seven kilometres through the pine forest on the Hochzeiger. On the "blue" trail, experienced bikers and especially trail beginners and families get their money's worth.

Family Hiking in the Pitztal Valley

An easy variant for family hiking in the Pitztal are the walking trails in the valley. Walking trails in the Pitztal are short and not very strenuous routes. Some of our Walking paths are also suitable for prams suitable. Walking trails are particularly popular with older people and families with small children. But romantics also like to kick their feet out after an enjoyable dinner.

The Pitztal offers not only walking trails in the valley, but also easy routes in higher regions, which can be reached comfortably by lift. Like, for example, the Hochzeiger Bergbahnen with the ZirbenPark Circular hiking trail, the Rifflsee cable cars with the Rifflsee circular hiking trail and the Pitztal Glacier with the trail to the Chapel of the White Light.

Family winter holiday in Pitztal

In winter, you and your family are in good hands in the Pitztal: whether active or leisurely - the Pitztal offers you recreation and sporting activity at the highest level.

Especially families with children who love the snow will get their money's worth in Pitztal. Whether at the panoramic Hochzeiger, which beckons with its wide sun-drenched slopes, at the Pitztal Glacier with its ice caves and the spectacular Café 3.440 or the varied area around the Rifflsee - all in all, the three Pitztal ski areas ensure a varied and snow-sure skiing holiday away from mass tourism in winter.

Family-friendly lifts at the Rifflsee

Also on Pitztal Glacier with its adjacent ski area around the Rifflsee a perfect family holiday is guaranteed. While there are ice caves, wave runs and wide pleasure slopes to discover on the glacier, skiing families can be taken up to the heights in a relaxed manner on the child-safe SunnaAlmbahn at Rifflsee. The chair's entry height automatically adjusts to the smallest passenger and thus guarantees safe entry and exit. Even during the ride, special locking bars and footrests ensure the highest level of safety for children.
